Sitel honored by WORKFORCE West Virginia

HUNTINGTON -- Sitel was named Employer of the Year by WORKFORCE West Virginia and honored last month at the WORKFORCE West Virginia Conference in Chester, W.Va.
Sitel is a global business process outsourcing provider formed by the January 2007 merger between ClientLogic and SITEL, Corp.
"Sitel is a leader in the call center industry and in the local community in Huntington," Stephanie Decker of WORKFORCE West Virginia said in a press release. "As a major part of the newly formed Call Center Consortium, Sitel helps to market career opportunities in the call center industry.
"Furthermore, the company collaborates with WORKFORCE West Virginia in Huntington and with the Marshall Community and Technical College to create employment enhancement programs specifically directed toward careers in the call center industry."
WORKFORCE West Virginia's Employer of the Year Award is designed to recognize West Virginia employers that are proactive in the community and the workforce development system through employment enhancing projects, participation in the West Virginia Employer Advisory Committee, promotion of WORKFORCE West Virginia Career Centers, as well as providing mentoring and work experience to special target groups.
Sitel has two Huntington locations and 500 employees.
